2019 Trail Camera

Below I will post the small version of some of the interesting pictures with comments, click on the image for a full resolution version. You can also browse the raw archive grouped by year and date of download at: Trailcam Archive. The files with "(Small)" in the name are low resolution versions for quicker previewing, the others are the full files from the camera. I have it set to take 3 megapixel resolution at night and 10 megapixel during the day, and to take 3 pictures per trigger. The date and time plus temperature, barometer, and moon phase should be at the bottom of each picture. If you find something interesting that I didn't put below let me know, sometimes I don't look real close if I'm busy.

Previous year blogs are available on the Trail Cam Blogs annual index page which is also accessible from the link in the left side navigation bar.

Bottom

1/6 Hmmm, daytime deer wandering around.

Image

2/8 I've been having trouble with the camera, I go to download the pictures and it tells me it can't read the SD card. I pop the card out and back in and then sometimes it reads it... I'm blaming it on the sub zero stuff... In any event, here is the best from last week, 3 backsides.

Image

3/24 Well, at least something is moving around out there.

Image

4/1 Got a turkey trotting in the snow...

Image

A raccoon poking around the stream last night.

Image

Then Hank and Pablo were hot on it's trail today!

Image

4/14 A fox and a raccoon were out a couple times this week. Maybe it's really spring.

Image

Image

4/20 A tom displaying with 3 hens... that's who I've been hearing gobbling out there!

Image

4/23 Got 5 hens trotting along this last week, probably looking for that tom gobbling away.

Image

5/7 Lots of activity this week. Deer, fox, raccoon, turkey, and last night there was a small moose wandering around. Pablo woke me up when it went by the house. Time is off a bit, didn't spring the camera ahead.

Image

5/26 Hmmmm, the only wildlife caught on the camera this week was an elusive green Deere.

Image

6/9 Had to replace battery, it was too low to take night time pictures. Now I'm getting night pictures again, but the date and time stamps are wrong. But anyway, here is a deer taking the corner at high speed!

Image

6/23 The old Leupold camera is dying, the infra-red flash for night pictures seems to be gone now so I ordered a new one... stand by for even better pictures hopefully!

6/30 The first production pictures from the new Bushnell camera... A fox at night:

Image

Three hams and two dogs touring antennas...

Image

And a deer in the shadows... Headshot and full moon! I don't believe those temperatures, must be the sun heating up the camera case.

Image

Image

7/21 Got lots of deer both day and night... this is one of a fawn in a hurry to get somewhere!

Image

7/29 Lots more deer and a regular fox visitor. Got George taking home a load of firewood, followed by a turkey.

Image

Image

Then there was this fawn who keeps running back and forth, this time it turned around and went back in less than 10 seconds!

Image

Image

8/4 Got a couple coyote pictures this week, here is one at sunset.

Image

And a bear passing through.

Image

8/11 Hmmmmmmm, porcupine???

Image

8/18 An early morning fox

Image

Followed shortly by Hank the hound

Image

And then Pablo bringing up the rear

Image

8/25 A buck!

Image

9/8 A bear... better watch out, you are in season now!

Image

10/6 Lots of activity this week, both animal and human. I spent a couple days cutting the weeds and brush around the pond outlet and the dam. This is the outlet area before cutting.

Image

Starting to mow.

Image

The supervisors watching me finish up.

Image

A little buck checking out the clearing job.

Image

A couple bigger bucks fighting.

Image

11/10 Lots of deer going back and forth including at least one buck. This is a new one though, a pair of foxes. In the past I have only caught one fox at a time, this is the first time I have seen them together.

Image

11/23 This guy wanted to pose for mug shots...

Image

Image

10/29 A couple coyote and fox pictures in the archives but nothing unique enough to post here. Look for a new page for 2020.
