2017 Trail Camera

Below I will post the small version of some of the interesting pictures with comments, click on the image for a full resolution version. You can also browse the raw archive grouped by year and date of download at: Trailcam Archive. The files with "(Small)" in the name are low resolution versions for quicker previewing, the others are the full files from the camera. I have it set to take 3 megapixel resolution at night and 10 megapixel during the day, and to take 3 pictures per trigger. The date and time plus temperature, barometer, and moon phase should be at the bottom of each picture. If you find something interesting that I didn't put below let me know, sometimes I don't look real close if I'm busy.

Previous year blogs are available on the Trail Cam Blogs annual index page which is also accessible from the link in the left side navigation bar.

Bottom

1/1 Happy New Year.

1/9 Nothing moving but us chickens, and that was over a week ago!

Image

2/25 Not much moving except for an occasional blurry fox... Then this little guy shows up, anyone know what it is???

Image

Best guess seems to be a yearling otter.

3/18 Some deer and other critters are moving, but they are all out of focus still. Late blizzard keeping most of them under cover now.

4/9 Nothing but a blurred fox the last couple weeks now.

4/16 Most of the snow is gone now so critters are starting to move around. Got a couple coyotes and a fox this week.

5/7 Otters, beaver, coyote, and deer all moving around this week:

6/4 Not much interesting for the last couple weeks. Deer, geese, and fox just going back and forth.

6/11 Goose family is growing quickly... Mom and Pop and 5 little ones visit regularly.

Image

6/18 Not much interesting this week. More deer back and forth, and a fox or two is about it.

7/23 Battery died last week so that was a waste. More good stuff this week... First a small bear.

Image

The dogs went by 9 hours later and knew it had been there!

Image

And a buck is growing his new rack.

Image

8/7 Ooops, missed a week. 159 pictures to go through, half were the neighbors or me riding green Deeres. But lots of good stuff in there also.

First a turkey, haven't seen any of them in a while.

Image

Then a beaver.

Image

And then a first, a bobcat!

Image

Then a common coyote.

Image

And then a buck with a bigger rack.

Image

9/10 After not much the last couple weeks there were lots of things moving this week. Lots of deer at night. But during the day there was a bear and a coyote.

Image

Image

9/17 Same bear as last week?? Or is this one even smaller?

Image

10/8 Not much moving recently, but this week this doe and fawn went back and forth many times.

Image

10/15 Lots of deer back and forth this week, including at least one buck:

Image

10/22 The family of raccoons that had 5 members last August seems to be down to 4 now.

Image

11/5 Busy week, 180 raw pictures, 136 after getting rid of me and the dogs. Most of the rest are of a couple of does going back and forth, but there were 3 of a buck, a couple of a coyote, and a couple of a not very photogenic fox.

Image

11/12 Another busy week on the trail. Mostly deer going back and forth, but there was a whole pack of coyotes that stuck around for a few good shots last night. There are 3 of them in this picture.

Image

11/19 Lots of deer back and forth this week, plus a couple blurry coyotes and foxes. The bucks were on the move, at least two different ones a couple times. This is the bigger of the bucks.
