2015 Trail Camera

Below I will post the small version of some of the interesting pictures with comments, click on the image for a full resolution version. You can also browse the raw archive grouped by year and date of download at: Trailcam Archive. The files with "(Small)" in the name are low resolution versions for quicker previewing, the others are the full files from the camera. I have it set to take 3 megapixel resolution at night and 10 megapixel during the day, and to take 3 pictures per trigger. The date and time plus temperature, barometer, and moon phase should be at the bottom of each picture. If you find something interesting that I didn't put below let me know, sometimes I don't look real close if I'm busy.

Previous year blogs are available on the Trail Cam Blogs annual index page which is also accessible from the link in the left side navigation bar.

Bottom

wait for it...

wait for it...

or just go look at last year's page since nothing is moving out there with all the ice right now.

1/10 Downloaded pictures today... just a couple of blurry foxes I think, and a bunch of me and Pablo. Its been really cold and icy so still not much moving out there. Go browse through the Trailcam Archive if you really want to see them.

2/28 Downloaded again.. still just a blurry fox and lots of snow.

4/5 NIGHTLIFE! This little guy is very photogenic... he's been caught a couple times since the last download.

Image

4/19 Lots of pictures this week, but most must have been triggered by birds or the wind. Still only the one fox at night though.

5/17 Finally, the deer are back!

Image

Which gives Pablo something else to track around on our walks.

Image

5/24 Deer, coyote, fox, and Pablo...

Not very photogenic these two... shiny eyes of one coyote on the left, there is another one on the far right. That one shows better in next frame, but the one on the left almost disappears.

Image

Daytime deer.

Image

5/31 Good coyote this time.

Image

6/7 lots of deer this week, and the first sighting of the local goose family.

Image

6/14 Lots of backsides of deer and the geese are wandering around.

6/21 Deer, beaver, fox, raccoon, mostly at night.

7/5 Oops, camera lost its date/time again. Hopefully it is reset now.

The little geese are growing quickly now.... as is the mess they leave behind.

Image

A deer wandering around during the day.

Image

8/29 Battery died last week. I think it was going slowly so maybe some stuff at night was being missed. Lots of pics this week.

First, a pair of coyotes.

Image

A fisher maybe??

Image

Plenty of deer.

Image

9/6 BEAR! First one caught by the camera in a long time, been seeing signs of them around the blueberry bushes but not over by the pond.

Image

Also first buck caught since last fall I think.

Image

Also seen this week were a raccoon and a coyote or two.

9/20 Looks like the same buck back through again and some other deer and coyotes... also a rare cone-headed Pablo.

Image

10/16 Lost about 2 weeks because the battery went dead and I didn't notice it right away. Made up for it with today's download... 144 pictures, mostly of doe wandering back and forth at night, one blurry coyote, a house cat, and a couple of Pablo. Here is one of the better doe pictures.

Image

10/25 Lots of pictures again this week, mostly antlerless deer like these:

Image

Coyote have been active also along with some fox.

Image

And a stray ham wandering around.

Image

11/15 Caught a buck this week.

Image

And a whole pack of coyotes... well, 3 of them anyway. This picture shows all 3 actually, one obvious one, then two more with their heads down side by side on the left side of the bridge. In the following 2 pictures first one of them moves on then the other.

Image

11/22 Good pic of the one buck I have seen this fall... He stuck around to get lots of pictures this time. Also lots of coyotes going back and forth.

Image

Image

12/13 The bucks are back! Have only seen that one most of the fall, this week I think there are 4 different ones.

Image

Image

Look close, this one has just tiny spikes.

Image

This is the biggest one I have seen.

Image

There was also a whole group of doe wandering through.

Image

And one drone out for a walk.

Image

12/31 Missed a week downloading so lots of activity in this one. At least 4 different bucks back and forth, and caught two of the smaller ones fighting right in front of the camera. All at night, not one picture of anything moving during the day.

A good rack.

Image

A better rack.

Image

Little scuffle.
