2020 Trail Camera

Below I will post the small version of some of the interesting pictures with comments, click on the image for a full resolution version. You can also browse the raw archive grouped by year and date of download at: Trailcam Archive. The files with "(Small)" in the name are low resolution versions for quicker previewing, the others are the full files from the camera. I have it set to take 3 megapixel resolution at night and 10 megapixel during the day, and to take 3 pictures per trigger. The date and time plus temperature, barometer, and moon phase should be at the bottom of each picture. If you find something interesting that I didn't put below let me know, sometimes I don't look real close if I'm busy.

Previous year blogs are available on the Trail Cam Blogs annual index page which is also accessible from the link in the left side navigation bar.

Bottom

2/23 Hasn't been much moving out there with all the icy stuff on the ground. But did see a big flock of turkey go through. Only got a picture of the last 3 of them as the other dozen or so were already back into the woods.

Image

3/15 Critters are starting to move around now that its getting a bit warmer. A beaver must be looking for a new home.

Image

A couple of deer wandering around.

Image

The coyotes are always moving around, I have had some blurred pictures of them all winter but this is the first nice clear one.

Image

4/12 Lots of deer this week but not much else.

Image

5/17 Lost a week of pictures, but there wasn't much on the card... then more snow and cold and finally warm and rainy. But got a couple kinda blurry fox and some nice deer.

5/31 Doe with a fawn wandering around.

6/14 The camera was off line for a few days because of water in the solar panel box. I think the panel itself is ok, but the charge controller is toast and the battery was full of water. This is apparently a common problem with Bushnell solar battery panels. I bought a replacement and gave it a good silicone caulking, we'll see if this lasts longer.

This week there were lots of daytime deer wandering around, along with lots of the big green Deere going back and forth.

Image

Maybe a young coyote? Ears seem a bit big and looks like a black tip on it's tail.

Image

And there are still some turkey hanging around, they usually disappear over the summer.

Image

6/21 Seemed like everyone was in a hurry this week... lots of blurry deer, fox, coyote and other things running by. There were some nice daytime deer, and the big green Deere. But this one is nice, a robin caught in mid flap!

Image

and a lone raccoon, and Hank isn't allowed to be chasing anything yet while his knee surgery heals up.

Image

6/28 Saw a rare daytime fox this week.

Image

7/19 Missed some time because the solar panel died due to filling up with water, then replaced it and replacement filled up with water, so bought a 3rd party one to see if it is better. Anyway, the fox is still going back and forth regularly...

Image

9/6 Not much going on at night recently, and most of what has been there has been moving fast so is blurry... but I did catch this bit of aerial acrobatics this week;
